A special thank you to CICK 93.9 Smithers Community Radio for covering the ribbon-cutting celebration marking the long-awaited reopening of Boston Pizza Smithers. After an incredibly challenging two-year reconstruction, it was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate the return of one of Smithers’ largest local employers. The new restaurant is far more than a renovation, it’s a complete rebuild featuring modern facilities, expanded seating, and a renewed commitment to serving our community.

We were especially encouraged to hear General Manager Sergio Effio speak about investing in local people through training, employment and a local impact fund, while owner Stuart Ramsey highlighted the significant reconstruction effort project managed by local contractor North Valley Design + Construction & keeping dollars circulating within our local economy throughout the project.

The Smithers District Chamber of Commerce was proud to organize Saturday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony and to officially welcome Boston Pizza back to the business community. Milestones like this remind us of the resilience of our local businesses, the talent of local contractors & tradespeople and the importance of supporting one another through challenges and celebrating successes together.

Proud to see this come together. Congratulations to Boston Pizza Smithers on the warm welcome from the Smithers District Chamber of Commerce — well deserved.

It was a privilege to be the team behind this build. From demo to finish, this project was a big one, and watching BP's get this kind of community reception makes it all worth it.

Smithers is lucky to have them. We're thankful to have built it. 🙌

Most of Smithers saw the fence go up and wondered what was taking so long. Here's your answer. We didn't resurface Boston Pizza Smithers — we gutted it. Pulled the slab, reframed the walls, rebuilt the whole thing from the ground up. This is what a real renovation looks like.

Big things are happening at Boston Pizza Smithers

The renovation is in the final stretch, and the results are going to speak for themselves. The team has put a lot of work into this space — new floors, refreshed BOH, and a dining room, and bar that's going to feel noticeably different the moment you walk in.

We don't have an opening date to share just yet, but it's close. Stay tuned to Boston Pizza Smithers for that announcement — we'll let them make the call.
