What we’ve been up to recently:

Last week we upgraded this home from 100A to 200A.
Client was adding a 60A hardwired level 2 EV charger with another future charger installed in the garage.
We installed the new panel in the garage and ran power to the old panel in the basement, then added the EV charger on the exterior of the home.

To the girl that keeps the wheels in motion! Sometimes my mind is in other places (lately all the time), sometimes I feel as if there is to much on the go! But she is right there pushing me! Telling me that I can do this and making all the behind the scenes happen from the family scheduling to making the wheels turn with the business! To making sure I drink my water 😂When I was in a spot last week where I just didn’t want to think about the business she was getting some new business cards lined up! The business really wouldn’t flow with how much she puts into it behind the scenes! And I hope Jodie Boerkamp knows that!

How about that pop up storm on Canada Day eh?!

We were up bright and early on an emergency call to one of our long time clients who had a tree come down on their direct hydro line, pulling it away from their barn and knocking out power to them for 22 hours!!

Luckily Walker Electrical installed an automatic generator for them last year, so they didn’t have to melt with no AC or lose any food with these extreme temps.

We were pretty grateful to have been able to help our clients with this one! It’s time like this that remind us why we do this job, and how much we love helping people in our community. 🤍💡🇨🇦

Is it just us, or has Norfolk County turned into a sauna this week?!☀️

While everyone is trying to stay cool this week, it’s a good reminder that extreme heat can put extra strain on the electrical system in your home. Air conditioners are running nonstop, fans are working overtime, and electrical panels are carrying heavier loads than usual.

If you’ve noticed flickering lights, tripping breakers, or anything that seems out of the ordinary, don’t ignore it.

Sometimes at work it’s a history lesson!
We just wrapped up a quick rough in on a home in the heart of Simcoe, before setting the tools aside for a much needed vacation! 🌴☀️

We came accross these news papers, at the time was most likely used as a means of insulation! Isn’t this interesting!? It’s an article that looks to be the early stages of WW1 and look at that! Is that a train ride from Chicago to California for $38!?

It has been a crazy start of the year and we are looking forward to being away from it all for a couple of weeks! We will be returning April 1st and will get caught back up with everyone then!
