All of this rain we’ve had the last couple weeks has made it very challenging to complete our Sherwood Park 200A Service Upgrades. Even though the sun is shining now, we have trenches filled with water.

Here’s one of the little tricks we’ve learned over the years.

When groundwater and rain starts filling the excavation, we don’t just drop a pump into the mud. Instead, we place the pump inside a bucket with holes drilled into it. The bucket acts as a filter, allowing water in while keeping mud, silt, and debris out of the pump.

The result?

✅ Less equipment downtime
