Get creative with using your plants!

I planted eucalyptus and lavender for a client this spring, and they have done wonderful. Most plants enjoy a prune here and there, and especially this time of the season when annual planters won't be around too much longer- get creative and use them!

Here I clipped some eucalyptus and lavender and hung on a string. Its ready to be hung in the shower now! 🚿 The scent is transcendent! 🌟🌟🌟 Aroma is released beautifully with the steam of a shower. Along with smelling like a dream spa, eucalyptus and lavender aromatherapy has a lot of health benefits!

small but MIGHTY!

This is why one little creeping bellflower leaf is worrisome! Yes, this small plant is attatched to (only PART of..) this mother root. 🤯🤯 Its like the mullet of weeds: business in the front and party in the back (or underground..) Bad creeping bellflower, no underground parties for you!! I must admit, you are SO good at surviving.

Some before and afters of a garden bed makeover!
The request for this one was a low maintenance bed with lots of evergreens and pink flowering shrubs. Due to huge roots from an old birch tree under the surface of the center of this bed, no holes could be dug right in the middle, so: a nice cedar planter with some annuals that will do well at this time of season. Plus, the mulch is western cedar from Nakusp, BC! 🍁 Can't wait to see these perennials mature! 🌲🙌

I like to leave a little vase of flowers/stems after servicing clients' yards. It's so fun making a little arrangement out of the things growing in a yard! You don't need a typical flower garden- get creative! This vase is just a crab apple clipping, sweet williams, and a cedar branch! 🌲🍎🌸

Usually I like to leave these outdoors to enjoy on a patio or deck. If you bring inside, remember there may be a few hidden bug hitchhikers! 🐛 🪲 🐞

This beautiful family of roses was suffering badly from black knot last year, but I put them through beauty boot camp! 🌹💪

With some heavy pruning (and then more pruning touch ups through the season), some fertilizer, and love, they are totally thriving now!


I also sang to them to tell them they are strong and can grow to thrive.. not saying it worked but not saying it didn't! 🤭🎵

Added some colour to this clients water feature! Hearing the trickling water and smelling the blooms.. how relaxing! 🌻🌸🌼
