Bio:
As a contemporary realist painter Guy-Anne Massicotte’s approach to art is both traditional and contemporary with an emphasis on technique and fine craftsmanship. She works with oils memorializing old master’s techniques. Eclectic subjects and several sources of inspiration include antiques, animals, people, and nature. Her path to realism always flirts with abstraction; turning disparate elements into a coherent design, finding colour and value themes that unify, and leading brushstrokes have beauty and refinement that enhance impressions of reality. Each artwork is a process of seeing beyond reality to show her own vision and bring sensual connection with the subject and find poetry. Established in galleries for twenty years, we can see her works in major
international events and private collections around the world.

Voici un conseil qui pourrait sembler controversé : vos œuvres d'art n'ont pas besoin d'être assorties à votre intérieur. Un tableau mérite sa place parce qu'il révèle une vérité sur la personne qui l'a choisi, et non parce qu'il reprend une nuance du tapis.
Les pièces qui vous marquent sont presque toujours celles où un élément refuse de se fondre dans le décor.

Refuse to Match!

Here's some advice that might sound controversial: your art doesn't need to match your home. A painting earns its place by saying something true about the person who chose it, not by picking up the undertone in the rug.
