🚜 From Overgrown & Neglected to a Fresh Blank Slate!

This client had a steep, overgrown slope by their front porch that was simply too sharp to manage easily, causing it to get a bit wild over the years.

We stepped in to give them their yard back:
✅ Cleared out the heavy overgrowth
✅ Brought in fresh fill to reduce the harsh slope angle for better stability
✅ Shaped the terrain and strategically placed landscape rocks exactly where the client wanted them

Now, instead of a headache, they have a beautifully graded, clean slate ready for whatever landscaping or decorating they dream up next!
Got a tricky slope, a wild ditch, or a spot on your property that needs to be reclaimed? Let’s get it sorted. Drop us a message or call Brandon at Rock Solid Excavation and Mechanical for a quote! 📞

Phase 2 down on this challenging, low-lying lot! 🚜🌊
When you're dealing with a property that sits flush with the main road ditch, water has nowhere to go—especially during the rainy season. After clearing the trees out last year, we rolled back in for Phase 2 to build reliable, heavy-duty access.
First order of business was dropping in a 12-foot culvert extension to widen the main entrance, creating a wide, safe approach for heavy trucks and trailers to get on-site. From there, we built the entire main driveway up a solid foot and a half to bridge the swampy ground and create a rock-solid, stable base.
With zero natural elevation change to dig a standard ditch, we had to get creative. We precision-molded the grade to form a wide swale, forcing the surface water to route around the back of the property and out to the main road ditches where it belongs.
Finished up the week by digging a quick test hole for the upcoming septic system—and as you can see, the ground conditions are definitely going to make the next phase interesting!
Got a wet, flat lot that needs proper access and water management before you can build? Let's get it sorted out right.

From a swampy mess to a rock-solid 30’x40’ garage pad and reclaimed backyard! 🚜💥

This property started with standing water, deep mud, and a thick mess of stumps right behind the house. We cleared out the stumps, dug out the muck, and hauled in nearly 430 tons (27 tandem loads) of structural sandstone base material.
Every load was precision-graded and track-packed to build a rock-solid, heavily compacted pad ready for a 30'x40' concrete garage slab.
While we were back there, we also completely reshaped the swampy low-spots into a beautifully graded, usable extension of their backyard that is now packed and ready for topsoil. To make sure it stays dry for years to come, we established a clear drainage pathway to channel all that groundwater completely away from the house and new garage build.
Planning a garage, shop, or yard expansion on tough ground this season? Don't let a wet lot stop you—we build them to last from the ground up.

They don't make 'em like they used to... so we rebuilt it better. 😎🛠️

We’ve been a bit quiet on here over the winter, but we definitely haven't been sitting still.
When the snow flies, the shop work starts.
This winter’s main event was taking the newest addition to our fleet—this classic 1995 Ford L9000—and completely bringing it back to life.

When we say we know our equipment inside and out, we mean it. We spent the cold months:
🔧 Tearing it right down to the frame
📐 Handling all the fabrication and prep work
🎨 Spraying a fresh coat of Dark Blue Metallic
🔩 Completing a full mechanical overhaul

The fleet is expanded, the machines are ready, and we are officially locked and loaded for the 2026 excavation season. If you want your project done right by a crew that takes pride in their gear, we’re ready to roll.
👉 Swipe through the photos to see the complete transformation from a stripped-down frame to the finished rig!

🛠️ Rust Never Sleeps—But Neither Do We!
They say a truck is only as strong as its frame. We recently took our F-350 work truck into the shop for some much-needed structural surgery. After years of heavy use and salty roads, the box crossmembers were rusted through and crushed.

The Rock Solid Process:
Strip Down: We pulled the box and flipped it to get full access to the underbelly.

Fabrication: Cut out the rotted steel, cleaned up the surfaces, and welded in heavy-duty new crossmembers.

Frame Protection: While the bed was off, we didn't stop there. We stripped the surface rust off the truck frame and gave it a fresh coat of protective paint.

Winter Prep: Finished it off with a full undercoating to block out the salt and prevent future corrosion.

Whether it’s your daily driver or your fleet’s workhorse, we provide the fabrication and mechanical work needed to keep you on the road and out of the scrapyard.
🚜 Don't wait for a structural failure. If your truck bed is sagging or your frame is looking rough, bring it by the shop for a "Rock Solid" refresh.
