Yesterday was an adventure. Went to pull a pump and clean a well, but things didn't go as planned. The pump was stuck on poly pipe with a torque arrestor, and it took some serious effort to get it out. After airlifting the well and adding some acid, it finally came loose. I was able to air lift the well and get the water flowing at 50+GPM. Finished the job by installing a Grundfos 15gpm SQE on PVC drop pipe, no torque arrestor needed this time.

Deep snow to get to the well. Pump replaced with a Grundfos SQE for poultry & veal farm.
The farmer blew the snow away, but no frost in the ground. So we used the lighter F550 with the knuckle boom.

Driving to service a dairy farm Jan.22,2026 at 7:30pm. Not the greatest weather.

Really stretching it for this pump. Matted onto the snow. Full power extension out. And full manual extension. Had some room to spare. The old pump was down since 1990 and was still running. Had a leak in the galvanized pipe. Replaced with 160’ of 1”PVC drop pipe with stainless couplings. And a new 10sqe07-200 Grundfos pump. Should be good for a few more years.

Getting some inside work done on new installs. Three different sites three different sizes of pump systems. Nice and compact. 10gpm, 25gpm and 150gpm. All constant pressure this setup saves a lot of space with the Pentair PID and PID xl.

Scott & Tim set up the small drilling mud cleaner for drilling a well with a lot of fine sand and grit in the formation. It's a Mini Mudslayer that they mounted at the back of the regular mud pit. Keeps the drilling mud in great shape and the pumps last longer to.

Our grandfather William Hopper and his son Neil Hopper picking up a new 22W in Tillsonburg Ont. Date was 1952. We still have the rig but it has not run for some time. Wish we still had the truck!

Too much snow in the yard. Difficult moving equipment around. Hope this milder weather will help melt it slowly.

Setting a 7.5hp 575v 3ph 77gpm pump. Down a 270’ 6” well. On 2” sch120 pvc drop pipe. Running on a PID XL. .water
