🎉 TODAY M.O.D. DEMOLITION TURNS 4! 🎉

Four years ago today, M.O.D. Demolition got started.

Looking back at where we began compared to where we are today is pretty incredible. What started small has grown into a company taking on residential, commercial and industrial demolition, asbestos abatement, concrete removal, excavation and increasingly larger and more complex projects throughout Northern Ontario.

But today isn’t about the equipment, the projects or how much we’ve grown.

It’s about the people who helped us get here.

To our employees — past and present — thank you. Every early morning, long day, tough job and extra effort has played a part in building M.O.D. into what it is today. A company is only as strong as the people behind it, and we couldn’t have made it four years without our team.

To our clients — thank you for trusting us. Whether you hired us for a small residential project or trusted us with a major commercial job, every project and every opportunity has helped us grow.

To the general contractors, restoration companies, real estate agents, property managers, developers and local businesses who have hired us, referred us, recommended us and continued to put our name forward — thank you. Those relationships have played a huge part in our growth, and we don’t take them for granted.

And to Sault Ste. Marie and Northern Ontario — thank you for supporting a locally built company.

There have been challenges, mistakes, lessons, long days and plenty of wins along the way. We’ve learned a hell of a lot in four years, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built.

But we’re nowhere near finished.

Concrete restoration starts with getting the damaged material out — safely, cleanly and efficiently.

⚠️ This addition was one strong wind away from coming down on its own.

Before the excavator ever touched the structure, our crew completed a careful hand demolition to remove the unsafe sections and make the site stable.

Only once it was safe did we bring in the excavator to complete a controlled demolition—protecting the remaining structure and everyone on site.

Demolition isn’t about smashing things. It’s about planning, safety, and precision.

This garage came down in a narrow laneway with overhead utilities, requiring careful machine placement and controlled loading every step of the way. Safety is always the priority, and getting the job done without damaging surrounding property is what separates professionals from the rest.

This wasn’t just another wall. 🧱⚠️

A load-bearing brick wall surrounded by mechanical systems meant there was no room for mistakes. Our crew carefully dismantled it by hand from scaffolding using chipping hammers, keeping the demolition controlled every step of the way.
