When you call our office, there’s a good chance the first person you’ll speak with is Eihp!

As one of the friendly voices behind the scenes at Fire & Flood, Eihp helps guide clients through some of their most stressful moments, making sure they feel heard, supported, and connected with the right members of our team.

Born in Burma and raised in Canada since 2000, Eihpjouwei (Eihp for short!) brings a strong foundation in organization, communication, and compassion to the Fire & Flood team. After completing her schooling as a Medical Administrative Assistant, Eihp developed a passion for creating structure, keeping things organized, and making sure people feel heard and supported. Looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to expand her skills, she found her way to Fire & Flood.

As our Administrative Assistant, Eihp plays an important role in keeping our office running smoothly. Her calm and reassuring nature, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills help keep things on track, even during the busiest days. She’s a dependable part of the team and someone both our clients and staff know they can count on.

When she’s not at work, Eihp enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and relaxing with a good video game. She’s also a big fan of the Christmas season, if there’s an opportunity to sneak in a little Christmas music early, Eihp is probably taking it! 🎄

We’re lucky to have you on the team, Eihp! 👏

The new Hollandia Soccer Club jerseys are in, and we have to say… they’re looking pretty sharp! 👀

As Club Sponsor, we’re proud to support youth sports and see young athletes get out there, build confidence, make new friends (and most importantly) have fun playing the game! We’re excited to be part of another season with Hollandia and to see what’s ahead for the team.

We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way and can’t wait to see these jerseys out on the pitch next season! ⚽️🔥

Nothing like a BBQ to bring the crew together! 🔥

Shoutout to our friends over at Milwaukee Tool and The Home Depot Canada for coming out and joining our team! Let’s just say those orange buckets were well received 😂

By now, you’ve probably heard the news… it was a big night for our team at the ABEX Awards! 🏆🏆🏆

We’re incredibly proud to bring home both the Service Award and Workplace Excellence Award, and the biggest surprise of the night was being named Business of the Year. 🎉There are a lot of people behind these awards, and we’re incredibly grateful for every one of them. We’ve come a long way together, and it’s been incredible to watch our team grow and evolve along the way. These awards give us a chance to celebrate how far we’ve come and look ahead to what’s next.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and recipients! It was great to be surrounded by so many businesses and teams doing incredible work. Saskatchewan sure has a lot to be proud of!

A huge thank you to the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce for this incredible honour and for recognizing the work happening across Saskatchewan. We’d also like to thank Nutrien, KPMG Canada, and CPHR Saskatchewan for supporting these awards and helping make this celebration possible.

There’s a little more orange around the shop today 🧡

From the office to the field, our team is wearing orange in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and as a reflection of our ongoing commitment to the communities we’re part of.

We believe being a good community member means continuing to learn, listen, and make time to recognize the history and experiences that shape the places we call home.

Today, we pause to recognize the day and continue that commitment beyond September 30.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

Meet Carey 👋

With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Carey brings a wealth of knowledge, a great sense of humour, and a willingness to help wherever he’s needed. From his years as an adjuster to his current role as a Generalist, Carey has seen just about every kind of property claim you can imagine and he’s always ready to lend a hand (or lighten the mood with a corny joke).

Carey was born and raised in and around Saskatoon and brings more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Much of his career was spent as an adjuster, where he completed extensive training in property claims related to wind, water, fire, and asbestos. He likes to joke that, given how long he’s been in the industry, his schooling goes all the way back to the days of “tablets and chisels.”

Before joining Fire & Flood, Carey had known Brennen and Chris for many years through his work as an adjuster. After retiring for a year and a half, a conversation at a charity event he and his wife support led to him joining the team part-time, proving that sometimes the best opportunities come from staying connected.

As a Generalist, Carey steps in wherever he’s needed, supporting the team across a wide range of tasks. He enjoys the variety his role brings and values the positive, team-first environment at Fire & Flood. Now approaching his two-year anniversary with the team, Carey continues to bring experience, perspective, and a great sense of humour to the workplace.

Outside of work, Carey enjoys travelling, fishing, farming, and spending time with his wife at the lake. He’s also known for sharing the occasional (and often well-timed) joke.

Not quite enough water for a basement pool… but definitely enough to cause damage. Even an inch or two of water can quickly soak carpet and underlay, damage flooring, and allow moisture to reach walls and other materials.

The longer moisture sits, the greater the chance of lingering odours, mould growth, and additional damage. Make sure you're checking for leaks, seepage, and signs of moisture (especially after heavy rain or snowmelt) 🌧
