Urns are a very unique item to craft.
The family is placing a significant amount of trust in you creating the final resting place for their loved one.
This was the first full size urn/hollow form I have ever done. 12.5" x 8.5"
Quite possibly the most stressful turning I ever did as if it had exploded I didn't have the time to start over.
As stressful as it was it was also an honor to be asked to create it.
I went with Cherry for this urn. Cherry woods grain darkens with age and gains a resilience which I felt that really represented how my friend's mom carried herself throughout her battle with cancer.
