Putting some feelers out—but part of this is an actual current need.

Right now, I’m looking for:

• A Saskatchewan/Red Seal journeyman electrician for casual work in Saskatoon
• At least one journeyman for our current La Ronge Long-Term Care project—7 days on/7 days off, roughly 80 scheduled hours during the working week, with private lodging and meals provided
• Additional journeymen and registered apprentices interested in possible upcoming work if some of our other bids come through

What I’m looking for:

• Reliable, safe and takes pride in clean work
• Communicates well and works well with others
• Commercial, institutional or service experience preferred
• Journeymen who can read prints, know code, troubleshoot, work independently and guide apprentices
• Apprentices who genuinely want to learn and do things properly
• Fire alarm, generators, controls or 600-volt experience is a bonus
• Class 5 licence and dependable transportation

Send me a private message or email [email protected] with your level/year, location, experience and availability.

Feel free to share or tag someone who might fit.

⚡ A slight brown mark may be the only warning you see.

The damage behind this receptacle was far more serious than what could be seen from the front.

This is a real photo from an Ethical Electrical service call. Heat had built up behind the receptacle, damaging the device and wiring. Fortunately, it was found before the situation became worse.

Watch for:

🔥 A warm receptacle or cover plate
🟤 Brown or dark marks
🔌 A plug that fits loosely
⚡ Buzzing or crackling
👃 A hot-plastic or burning smell

Discoloration does not always mean severe damage—but it should not be ignored.

If you notice any of these warning signs:

Stop using the receptacle. Do not remove it yourself. Have it checked by a qualified electrician.

We are beginning a new Ethical Electrical safety series using real examples from the field to show homeowners what to watch for and what may be hidden behind the surface.

Questions are welcome. Send me a message or leave one in the comments.
