✨ Mid-Century Modern Monday – Ep.13 Pt.4: Security That’s Always On ✨

This week, Virgil from Reed Security talks about one of the most important features of this home — keeping it safe and secure! 🏡🔒

As this mid-century gem continues to come together, we’re making sure the security is just as thoughtfully planned as the design. Virgil walks us through the security system being installed, including the technology behind it and how it helps protect the home.

One of the highlights? The system is powered by Alarm.com, giving us smart security features and peace of mind. We’re also diving into the idea of always-on security — taking a proactive approach to help prevent a crime before it happens.

From the beautiful stone walls to the modern security technology being incorporated, this home really is bringing together the best of old and new. ✨

A huge thank you to Virgil and the team at Reed Security for helping make this home safer and smarter!

Stay tuned for more of Episode 13 — there’s still so much to see! 👀

🎬 Mid-Century Modernization Monday | Episode 13 : Part 3
🚨 This Camera Doesn’t Just Watch — It Responds.

We’re getting even deeper into the security technology protecting our Mid-Century Modern home, and Virgil is breaking down some of the features that make these cameras so much more than your average security camera. 👀🔐

If the system recognizes someone trespassing on the property, it can take things a step further. Bright red and blue warning lights flash, making it very clear that the person has been detected — and definitely not something that’s easy to miss. 🚨

But one of the coolest features is AI Deterrence. 🤖

The camera has a built-in speaker and uses AI to identify and describe the person it detects — even recognizing details such as the colour of their clothing. The system can then deliver an automated voice message through the camera, identifying what it sees and telling the individual to leave the property.

And if they don't? The system can escalate the situation and dispatch authorities.

That means this technology isn't simply recording an incident after it happens — it's designed to actively deter, communicate and respond in real time.

It’s pretty incredible to see how far home security technology has come, and it’s just another example of how this renovation is combining the timeless character of a Mid-Century home with some seriously modern functionality. 🏡✨

Would you feel safer knowing your security system could actually TALK to someone trying to enter your property? 👀👇
