These are some of my favourite spring-blooming flowers to plant in the fall!

Asiatic lilies, peonies, irises, and lily of the valley can also be transplanted in the spring, but if you don’t plant the others by the end of October, you might not have blooms next spring!

Do you live in or near Fort St. John, BC? Save the date!

I'll be giving a talk with the North Peace Horticultural Society on October 23rd at the North Peace Cultural Centre, all about frost-proof gardening! I am so excited for this trip and can't wait to share my advice on gardening in a short season and cold climate with a new group of people!

NOTE: Calendula and borage are *technically* annuals, but they self-seed so well that I’ve included them in this list!

This week in Flowers 39/52 was slightly bonkers! We were off to PA for a floral arranging workshop at Gathered Hearth • Market & Studio then back in Saskatoon for two days of MRKT. Markets While Monica was running things at the market, I was working on one of my largest wedding orders of the year. What a wonderful way to end September!
