Green Goddess Plants and Seeds Specializing in unique open-pollinated and heirloom tomatoes. We are a small home-based business sharing a hobby we love with others.

We specialize in unique open-pollinated and heirloom tomatoes. Our mandate is to be a source for tomato varieties you will not find in the average garden centre. We have made a point of not selling most common varieties such as Tiny Tim and Celebrity hybrid. Simply because they can be found almost everywhere. There are thousands of varieties of tomatoes out there and we have been working hard to be a source for some of these wonderful and sometimes hard to find varieties.

Learning to pivot in the face of challenging times. Channeling my stress, anxiety, fear, and sadness into creative outlets. I’ve started dying fabric for cross stitch. The photos are of some 14 count Aida that I hand dyed. I am hoping to have these at the farmers/vendor markets coming up. I am currently trying to source some 16 count and some stitchable linen.

Talk about shrinkflation!! Only 4 seeds in this packet of Grey Ghost winter squash. From Halifax Seeds. $6.99 plus shipping and taxes. I’m thinking we might isolate these plants and fry saving seeds. It is a hybrid so not sure how well that will go, but might be worth a try.

I have some projects with me while in Saskatoon. Making excellent progress on “His Majesty The King”. As well as “Poison Garden” and “Garden Hare”. And I started a new one called “ Garden Party”.

I’m hunkered down in Saskatoon at the moment. It’s snowing pretty good here today. I know things are much worse in Meadow Lake. Not sure when the highways will be safe for the drive back to the farm.

Seriously??!! Enough with the snow already!!

Did you know that the heirloom tomato “Paul Robeson” was named for the famous American singer from the early 20th century. I’m happy to to be growing this variety this year.
