Happy Coaches Day to our very own soccer legend, Huw! ⚽

Huw has been coaching soccer in Saskatoon for decades, and at 75, he's still out there sharing his love of the game. You could even call him the OG Soccer Dad!

He's also been part of the Peter Lucas team for 10 years, bringing the same respect, integrity and generosity to his work as he does to the field. We're so lucky to work alongside him.

Reconciliation goes beyond one day. 🧡

In the lead-up to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, our team gathered at Wanuskewin, a sacred place on Treaty 6 Territory where people have come together for more than 6,000 years. For one day, we set our work aside and walked the trails.

There was something powerful in simply slowing down: breathing in the prairie air, listening, and taking in the land and the stories it holds. In that quiet, the meaning of the day settled in.

We also marked the release of Version 2 of our Reconciliation Action Plan, a reminder that every child matters, every day.

Learning. Listening. Moving forward together. Every day.

The Peter Lucas Team was proud to support White Buffalo Youth Lodge’s annual Backpack Day, helping local kids head into the new school year prepared and ready to learn.

A big thank you to WBYL for bringing the community together for such a great event. We’re always grateful for opportunities to lend a hand and support the communities where we live and work.

Happy Saskatchewan Day.

This long weekend, we're taking a moment to appreciate the province we get to build in — the people, the places, and the communities that make our work worth doing.

Our offices are closed Monday, August 3. We'll be back Tuesday.

However you spend it — at the lake, in the garden, or somewhere with no cell service — we hope it's a good one.
