Know their role. Know yours. Work safer together.

SCSA’s updated Contractor Training helps you understand how Prime Contractors, Contractors and Subcontractors work together on multi-employer worksites — and the responsibilities that come with each role.

With practical activities and guided discussions, you’ll explore contractor responsibilities, legislative requirements, due diligence and how contracts help define who is responsible for what.

Whether you’re a Prime Contractor, General Contractor or Subcontractor, this course is a valuable resource — or refresher — for working confidently on multi-employer sites.

Thank you to the Construction Association of Saskatchewan - CASK for hosting an important conversation on Truth and Reconciliation on monday.

We appreciated the opportunity to join industry partners and leaders in Regina to listen, learn, and reflect during Amy Cruson's powerful presentation and discussion.

Conversations like these help foster understanding, respect, and stronger communities both within our industry and beyond.

SCSA offices are closed today for observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour those who never returned home, the survivors, their families and communities. Let us reflect, listen, and commit to meaningful action in the journey toward healing and reconciliation.

Safety Week at BHP Jansen was anything but routine.

Working with Graham Industrial Services, our Advisory Services team connected with nearly 90 workers through six hands-on safety demonstrations covering everything from ladder safety to eye protection and injury prevention.

Great participation, great questions, and a shared commitment to keeping workers safe. Thanks for having us out.

After 12 years of dedicated leadership, SCSA President Collin Pullar will be moving on to a new opportunity at the end of November. Over the next two months, Collin will work alongside our interim leadership team to support a smooth transition and ensure continuity for our members, employees and industry partners.

Effective October 5, 2026:
• Edward Pyle, current Vice President, will step into the role of Acting President.
• Loy Levesque, current Operations Manager, will move into the Vice President role.

We’re grateful for Collin’s leadership and contributions to advancing our mission. Please join us in thanking him for his service and accomplishments in supporting our province’s construction community.

We’re also pleased to welcome Ed and Loy into their new roles as we continue our work to prevent injuries and build a safer, stronger construction industry across Saskatchewan.

Our Saskatoon Advisory Team was pleased to join Edgewater Development Corp. at their Annual Trades & Supplier Appreciation Lunch, bringing a side of safety to a day focused on connection, collaboration, and giving back.

Between our hand and head safety demonstrations and discussions around ladder safety and fall prevention, there were plenty of opportunities to connect with trades, suppliers, and industry partners.

Thank you to the Edgewater team for the invitation and for creating an event that brought the industry together in support of both safety and community.
