It’s time to introduce our incredible **Member of the Year** nominees. These Chamber champions go above and beyond—dedicating their time, staying actively involved, and proudly representing and advocating for our Chamber of Commerce every step of the way.
Meet Matt Card, Owner, C.E Technology Solutions Ltd.
"Protecting and connecting Sarnia-Lambton" C.E Technology Solutions Ltd. is a Sarnia-Lambton security and communications company serving industrial, municipal, commercial, and residential clients across Ontario. We design, install, and support security systema and communications infrastructure, the systems our clients count on to keep sites secure and people connected. Founded in 2023 and now employing a full-time local team, we bring the same standards to a family home as we do to a plant site, and we're close enough to answer the phone ourselves."
Here is why I am an outstanding Member of the Chamber of Commerce:
Sarnia-Lambton gave us our start, so we put what we earn back into it. We sponsor the Sarnia Street Machines Car Show, whose proceeds support Pathways Health Centre for Children, and Bethel Family Days. We provided free internet for this year's tennis tournament, and we discount our work for non-profits like River City Vineyard, because a charity's budget should go to its cause, not its infrastructure.
The Chamber is where we learned how business is actually done here. Last year we donated and installed a full alarm system at the Chamber office, no charge, because a place that spends its days protecting local businesses should be protected too. We're at as many Chamber events, B2B sessions, and Doing Business with the City meetings as we can make, and those rooms taught us how to run this business.
We invest in people. We employ up to six people full-time, here at home. We take on co-op students whenever we can, and we attend local career fairs to talk to students about careers in security and communications. Young people here should know those careers exist in their own community — that you don't have to leave Sarnia-Lambton to build something worth staying for.
