With all the hype over our beloved boy, Dougie, I thought I’d take a moment to give you the story on him.

Last year, the Friday before Mother’s Day, Donnie was running kids to school when he found a stray dog in a construction zone.
He stopped and called the dog over, which…he came running right away!
There was a tag with a phone # so he called the number. The lady was going to come pick him up but…Donnie would be late for the kids getting to school so he was going to call her back to get directions to her farm once the kids were at school.
With the kids dropped off, he made the call back to her. She then proceeded to ask the questions…”you have kids?…do they like animals?” To which he replied yes! She asked if we would like to keep him as they just didn’t not have the time to spend with him. Turns out…they had a gal working for them from Germany who, loved animals so they decided to get her a dog. However, when she returned to Germany, the dog stayed with them. Not having time to spend with him, he kept wondering trying to find them in the fields, etc. It was just getting to much for them to keep track of soooo…we made the decision to keep him.
Turns out…he is the best dog we have ever had!!! Today, he is known as “roofer dog Dougie!” What a wonderful addition to our family!
A little over a year later as we could not imagine our little home without him!! ❤️
