OFF-ROAD VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT
Due to the ongoing wildfire situation and elevated fire danger, the Province is implementing off-road vehicle restrictions in the Kamloops Fire Centre.
Effective August 11, 2026, off-road vehicles will be prohibited in designated areas within the Kamloops Fire Centre.
This restriction applies to recreational use of off-road vehicles, including ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes and other off-road vehicles.
These measures are intended to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires and help protect communities, forests and critical infrastructure during a period of heightened wildfire activity.
Please:
• Respect all restrictions and closures.
• Check current wildfire restrictions before heading outdoors.
• Avoid activities that could create sparks or ignite a wildfire.
• Follow directions from BC Wildfire Service and local authorities.
Know before you go: Restrictions can change as conditions evolve.
