Home Tight did a blower door test on one of the units at Tiny Hope recently. These tests are instrumental in finding out the air tightness of a home after it is built. While blowing air out with our fan, we can also determine leakage spots in the house. In the video, you can see that air is being drawn in through a window latch. Controlling air infiltration is important in maintaining good indoor air quality, as well as allowing optimum performance for your heating and cooling systems.

Working on townhomes today. As they share a party wall between units, they have fewer sides exposed to the elements and are therefore easier to condition than a detached home. Part of our job is to make sure those holes in the party wall are plugged up, so there is no odour and noise transfer between units.
