What a weekend! 🙌

This past weekend we had the opportunity to participate in the Saint John Home Show for the very first time—and it exceeded all expectations. We met so many wonderful people, connected with potential new clients, and built some great relationships with fellow exhibitors. It truly felt like a little community for the weekend.

A special shoutout to our amazing booth neighbors, Alden's Shutters and Doors—we loved being next to you!

Our son had the time of his life, making the rounds and checking out all the cool swag. Thank you to everyone who was so kind and generous to him—it meant a lot to us.

We did sneak out a little early to cheer on our daughter as she brought home a big win at her middle school basketball provincials (and yes, it was totally worth it! 🏀💪).

To everyone who stopped by our booth—thank you. We truly appreciate your time, your interest, and your support. We’re already looking forward to next year!

✨Meet Ashley✨

Ashley is the co-owner of Top Shelf Cabinets and Countertops alongside her husband, Kirk — even if she’s not always the one you see on site or in photos. She’s the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps the wheels turning.

By day, Ashley works full time as a Senior Advisor at ANR Accountants. By night (and early mornings, and weekends), she keeps Top Shelf’s back office in line — handling bookkeeping, payroll, financing details, and making sure nothing gets missed with CRA deadlines.

Ashley was born in Nova Scotia, grew up in Fredericton, and has called St. Stephen home for the past 16 years. When she’s not working, you’ll most likely find her at a rink, field, or court cheering on her kids — even if she couldn’t tell you the inning, period, or quarter without asking someone nearby.

She also supports much of the company’s marketing and admin systems, and lately has been happily sharing more of that with Laura — which she considers a game changer. One of her favorite parts of being involved with Top Shelf is seeing just how far their work travels — with cabinets installed in homes and projects across Canada and the USA.

Fun fact: when you’re married co-owners of a busy business, “shop talk” tends to sneak into just about every car ride, supper conversation, and weekend plan — and somehow, they’re still not tired of it. 🖤
