Taj Mahal quartzite taking shape ✨

This kitchen carries the same natural stone across the waterfall island, countertops, backsplash and window surround, creating a really cohesive finish. The island is finished with mitered edges, giving the waterfall sides that clean, continuous look.

Taj Mahal quartzite is a natural stone loved for its warm neutral tones, but it’s also a practical choice for kitchens thanks to its durability and heat resistance. And because it’s natural, every slab has its own movement and character.

Still under construction, but the stone is already doing plenty 👀

Why travertine?

Travertine is a natural stone formed over thousands of years from mineral deposits, which is what gives it those distinctive layers, pores and variations. No two pieces are exactly the same.

It’s also naturally heat resistant, making it a great material for fireplace surrounds and bases. In this project, we used vein-cut travertine, cut in the direction of the stone’s natural layers to reveal those long, linear bands across the fireplace base.

Travertine is durable and can be used indoors or outdoors, but because it’s naturally porous, proper sealing is important to help protect it from moisture and staining.

Beautiful, functional, and literally shaped by nature. 🪨

When the stone refuses to be background. 👀

This dramatic Arabescato-style marble wraps the countertop, backsplash and window surround, letting those bold black veins run through every angle. The mitered window surround gives the whole installation an extra clean, continuous finish.

Still a work in progress, but the stone is already doing all the talking. 🤍🖤
