Great to have Matthew Martin back with the Ocean Steel team this summer. ☀️

Building on his previous experience in Drawing Services, Matthew has been supporting our Project Management team while gaining exposure to project coordination, documentation, and cost tracking processes.

Welcome back, Matthew Martin! 👋

After spending last summer with Ocean Steel's Drawing Services team, Matthew returned to the OSCO Construction Group this summer, supporting the Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. Project Management team in Saint John.

As he prepares to enter his fourth year of Mechanical Engineering at Dalhousie University, Matthew has been gaining experience in areas including drawing reviews, cost tracking, invoicing, document management, and project coordination.

His experience across multiple teams has helped him build a broader understanding of how structural steel projects move from design and planning through to ex*****on.

A great full circle moment for our team 👏

Rodney started with Ocean Steel as a summer student, continued through co-op and part-time work while finishing his program at NBCC Saint John, and has now joined us full-time as a Project Coordinator. We are proud to see that growth and excited to have him continue his career with us.

After joining the Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. Project Management team as a summer student, Rodney Chakwesha continued to grow with the team through co-op and part-time experience while completing his Mechanical Engineering Technology program at NBCC Saint John.

Recently, Rodney has officially stepped into a full-time role as a Project Coordinator, supporting projects from start to finish and continuing to build on the experience he has gained along the way.

Stories like Rodney’s highlight the value of hands-on learning, mentorship, and the opportunities created when students are given the chance to grow within our teams.
