This gender-neutral university washroom was designed to feel inclusive and approachable, balancing high performance materials with warm wood tones and soft curves to elevate the everyday experience.

Every detail was considered to support accessibility and ease of use while creating an environment that feels intentional rather than institutional.

Last week we attended IDNB’s much‑anticipated AGM and Spring Event. It was a wonderful two days reconnecting with fellow interior designers and building relationships with industry partners. We’re heading into the season feeling inspired and energized.

Hidden History; Found On-site

The Briton T-shape door closers were originally manufactured by William Newman and Sons Ltd in Hospital Street, Birmingham UK during the 1930s. They are still used extensively throughout National Trust properties, Houses of Parliament, period offices, as well as theatre and film sets.

Demand for this closer continues despite the introduction in recent years of many new models and the increasing sales of concealed door closers.

Currently remanufactured by Poole Waite & Co Ltd.
