The homeowner pulled off the old deck and uncovered a rotten rim joist, then hit the panic button and called us in to help.
We walked them through the options, repaired the damage, and got the house prepped for a new 16' deck.

However, plans shifted, so we built a smaller deck with stairs for now, leaving room to go big again in the future.

Not the project they first imagined, but they ended up with a safe, functional upgrade, a ton of peace of mind, and a lot learned along the way.

This homeowner had a couple of fences that needed some attention—one more than the other.
We started by installing a 2x6 topper on the taller fence to straighten the posts and add rigidity to the entire run. On the shorter fence, we replaced the rails and fence boards, reinforced the leaning gate posts, and finished it off with a matching 2x6 topper to tie everything together.
The result is two much stronger, straighter fences that should provide years of reliable service.

The home owner reached out about turning their very open Master bedroom walk in closet/ensuite into a more privatised space with built in closets.
So we added a pocket door, moved some plumbing, removed the open shelves and hangers and installed a built in using IKEA cabinets. We then added end panels to match the existing vanity style. Happy customer 😍

A customer reached out and wanted to update her kitchen for functionality and style.
A few cabinets that needed to be modified were the two countertop pantry style cabinets on either side of the range, the over the range cabinet had to be reduced in depth to allow for adequate room for the micro-range to vent and the fridge cabinet depth adjustment to make the kitchen not only feel bigger but also function better.
Once the countertop was installed and the cabinets were painted we were able to come back and install a subway tile backsplash.

A repeat customer reached out to pull up some old carpet and install oak hardwood flooring. We had to add a flush with the floor oak transition piece at the door as the customers are elderly and constantly tripping on the raised transitions.
Replaced the trim and 1/4 round where the floor meets the built in cabinets.
We also repaired a couple of packet doors and added 1/4 round in the kitchen.

This customer reached out to us to have a handrail installed to the upstairs apartment. Unfortunately the 2x2 birch handrail was too wide for their liking so we cut it down, rounded the edges and installed it. They were super stoked with the finished product.

This customer had a leak coming thru the light fixture, and was concerned that the light was not working because of the moisture.
Upon investigation we discovered that not only was the ceiling bowing down from the weight of the insulation but there was also insufficient insulation and vapour barrier which caused condensation to occur due to the warm air in the house and the cold air in the roof space.
We also discovered that the light wasn't working due to a wire being disconnected from the wall switch, which could have caused an electrical fire.

So we reattached the wire to the switch, installed ceiling strapping, removed the black 36" plastic sheets, put insulate here it was lacking and stapled up a continuous vapour barrier including a light box cover.
Drywalled, crack filled, sanded and installed crown moulding for that perfect finished look!
