Six weeks can make a big difference! This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It’s important to trust the process (and the professionals 😉)

Healthy lawns are built through:

✓ Proper timing

✓ Healthy soil

✓ Correct fertilization

✓ Adequate moisture

✓ Consistent maintenance

Every lawn responds differently, but giving grass the right conditions allows it to thrive.

Not every lawn needs a full renovation. Sometimes all a lawn needs is strategic overseeding.

We use hand spreaders to apply seed precisely where it’s needed.

This helps:

• Fill thin areas

• Improve density

• Reduce future w**ds

• Thicken existing turf

The best overseeding results in New Brunswick typically come in late August and September when temperatures begin to cool.

Fertilizer isn’t about making grass greener overnight. Proper fertilization strengthens the entire plant.

Benefits include:

• Stronger roots

• Better drought tolerance

• Improved colour

• Faster recovery

• Better disease resistance

Applying the right product at the right time is far more important than simply applying more fertilizer.

It’s not just punching holes in the lawn.

Professional aeration is about consistency.

Correct spacing.

Correct depth.

Correct timing. (👈 THIS is a big one!)

Done properly, aeration creates thousands of evenly spaced openings throughout the lawn.

These channels improve airflow and allow moisture to reach deeper into the soil profile.

Small details produce better long-term results.

Healthy grass starts below the surface.

Most lawn problems actually begin underground.

Compacted soil limits:

• Root growth

• Water movement

• Oxygen availability

• Nutrient uptake

When roots can’t grow deeper, lawns become much more vulnerable during hot weather. (one of the reasons your lawn goes brown mid summer!)

Healthy roots equal healthier grass.

Those plugs aren’t a mess… they’re a good sign.

Many homeowners worry when they first see soil plugs across the lawn.

In reality, those plugs are exactly what we want.

They’re evidence that compacted soil has been opened up, allowing water, oxygen and nutrients to reach the root zone.

Within a couple of weeks the plugs naturally break apart and the nutrients are absorbed back into your lawn.

No raking required!

Please don’t scalp your lawn during this heat! One of the biggest mistakes we see during hot weather is mowing too short.

Longer grass:

✓ Shades the soil

✓ Reduces evaporation

✓ Encourages deeper roots

✓ Helps the lawn tolerate drought

For most cool-season lawns in Southern New Brunswick, maintaining a mowing height of around 3–3.5 inches during summer helps reduce stress.

Your lawn may not be at its greenest right now and that’s okay. But if you are cutting it too short, you’re actually giving w**ds a better chance to take over your lawn!

A healthy lawn will recover when cooler temperatures and more consistent rainfall return if you raise your mower blades.

Those little holes can make a big difference.

Core aeration removes small plugs of soil from your lawn.

This helps:

• Reduce compaction

• Improve oxygen flow

• Increase water infiltration

• Encourage deeper roots

• Improve fertilizer efficiency

For cool-season lawns in New Brunswick, aeration is most beneficial during late summer and early fall when grass is actively growing again.

The plugs left behind naturally break down over the following weeks.

Healthy roots start with healthy soil.

We get asked “Why is my lawn suddenly turning brown?” ALL of the time!

And the truth is, every lawn is different.

But, if your lawn has developed thin or bare patches over the past few weeks, don’t panic.

With the heat and lack of rainfall we’ve experienced across Southern New Brunswick, cool-season grasses naturally slow their growth to conserve energy.

That doesn’t always mean your lawn is dead.

Many lawns simply go dormant until cooler temperatures and rainfall return.

Before running out and buying seed or fertilizer, it’s important to identify the real cause.

It could be:

✓ Heat stress

✓ Soil compaction

✓ Heavy traffic

✓ Insect damage

✓ Poor soil

Seriously, every lawn is different!

We’ll help determine what your lawn actually needs.

We’ve been busy growing 🌱

Peep the lawn (and yes new garden) we’ve restored for one of our customers. Unfortunately they lost the entire lawn from birds and grubs, but we were able to bring it back to life in no time!
