Congratulations, Kelly!

Board Boss Drywall is proud to congratulate our very own, Kelly Frechette, on her appointment to the Niagara Construction Association's Board of Directors!

Kelly is proud and excited to take on this new role and continue giving back to Niagara’s construction community. She is already actively involved with the NCA through both the Advocacy Committee and NCA Young Leaders Committee, and also represents the Niagara Construction Association at the provincial level with the Council of Ontario Construction Associations (COCA).

Kelly is passionate about advocating for our industry, strengthening the construction community, and helping create opportunities for the next generation of industry leaders. She’s eager to bring that same commitment to the Niagara Construction Association Board of Directors.

Congratulations, Kelly Frechette, on this well deserved appointment and thank you for always representing Board Boss Drywall and our team so well.

Yesterday, Steve and I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting for The Clayfield – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake.

It was incredibly rewarding to walk through the completed property and celebrate the opening of a project that Board Boss Drywall has been proud to be a part of.

Our team completed the steel stud framing, insulation, drywall installation, taping and finishing, and acoustic ceilings throughout the main boutique hotel as well as the two Liner Apartment buildings.

The Clayfield is a truly impressive addition to Niagara-on-the-Lake, with 60 beautifully designed guest rooms, a spa, restaurant and bars, rooftop space, and event facilities—all brought together with an incredible level of detail and craftsmanship.

Projects like this are a reminder that behind every finished space are countless hours of planning, coordination and skilled work from tradespeople who bring the vision to life. We are extremely proud of the Board Boss team and grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a special project in our own Niagara community.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing The Clayfield to life. We look forward to seeing it welcome guests to Niagara-on-the-Lake for many years to come.

“The standard we walk past is the standard we accept. We don’t accept poor quality or unsafe work.”

That’s not just a quote, it’s how we run our jobs and our commitment to our staff, GC's and partners.

Safety is built into the standard we hold every day, on every site, with every crew.

Leadership sets the tone. And at Board Boss, the expectation is simple:

Do it right.
Do it safe.
Every time.

What does safety mean to us?

It’s not policies.
It’s not paperwork.

It’s leadership on site, every single day.
Our foremen set the tone. They’re the ones making the calls, watching out for their crews, and making sure the job gets done right...and safely.

Proud of the team we’ve built and the high standard our foremen uphold.

One of these sites finishes on time.
One of them sends people home injured.

The difference? Housekeeping.

It’s not about being neat and tidy, it’s about preventing injuries before they happen.

Loose materials, cluttered walkways, and tools left behind might seem small in the moment… but that’s exactly how accidents happen.

Clean sites:
✔ Reduce trips and falls
✔ Keep crews moving efficiently
✔ Show pride in the work
✔ Protect the people doing it

Safety isn’t complicated.

It just needa to be built into the habits you repeat every day.
