What makes Integrated Project Delivery work so well?

In our Ask the Estimator series, Evan Benoit, Estimator at Atkinson Construction, shares his perspective on IPD and what makes this collaborative delivery model different.

For Evan, regular communication between project stakeholders, aligned risk and reward, and ongoing engagement with end users help create a level of collaboration and commitment that can be difficult to achieve with other delivery models.

Throughout the series, we'll continue asking Evan about his experience with IPD and exploring estimating, collaboration, Target Value Design, and the value of early involvement from an estimator's perspective.

Stay tuned for more from Ask the Estimator!

A significant milestone for a project that will play an important role in supporting the safety of St. Albert's growing community.

Atkinson Construction is proud to be part of the team delivering Fire Station No. 4, a new facility in northeast St. Albert designed to support firefighter/paramedics and help enhance emergency response across the community. The facility will include two double deep apparatus bays, living and support spaces, a fitness area, decontamination room, and future administration space. It will also be the City's first building constructed to achieve Green Globes certification.

It was great to come together with the City of St. Albert, St. Albert Fire Services, and our project partners to officially mark the beginning of construction.

We're looking forward to seeing this important community facility take shape.

City of St. Albert makes way for Fire Station No. 4 located in the northeast end of the city. City Council, St. Albert Fire Services, and design and build partners on the project gathered for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new facility that will be key in providing emergency services to St.
