“Theres a lot of eyes on this Keegan. A lot of people are saying it cant be done.”

The community of Colville Lake NT, had been waiting a long time for this new school. It had been built in Edmonton for the last 2 years. At least 2 trucking companies took the job then backed out, when they realised the challenges it faced. The government of the Northwest Territories called Jay, with Arctic West, and Jay called us. The answer was absolutely, when do we leave.

The crew at Arctic West put in countless hours behind the scenes to make this job a success, Organizing pilots, permits, line lifts, fuel, lodging, supplies, people, and other equipment. We got away easy, supporting them with a couple trucks and pilots to come execute under their flag. Winter access only, ice crossings, bed trucks, dozers, traffic control, CVSE escorts, minus 45, 2 sets of chains for a week straight. We saw lots of challenges. Lots of cold. Lots of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty. We conquered seamlessly, because of preparation, relationships, teamwork, equipment and experience. I am extremely proud to be part of something like this, and proud of everyone who made it happen.
