A Decade of Building

Starting my carpentry business in 2016 was one of the best decisions I've made. My first project was renovating my childhood home – tackling horse hair lath and plaster 😆

Over the past 10 years, I've built homes from the ground up, crafted decks and fences, transformed kitchens, constructed garages, and worked on roofs until my hammer was worn.

Thank you to my clients for trusting me to bring their home visions to life. It's been an honor!

No more shivering in the cold or scraping away at icy windows! This farm's 3-car garage is a dream come true. Plus, the porch has plenty of hooks for hanging dirty coveralls and jackets, making farm life a breeze.

The exterior portion of the garage project is complete! Now it's time to shift focus to the interior - stay tuned!

Another basement completed by NOC this spring. Special shout out to Devin, who really stepped up to finish this project as I was out in the field seeding!

The Wood Finish doors and trim are an eye-catching feature that makes this basement stand out! They look amazing and the flooring by JC Flooring really brings it all together.

Meet Ryland!

Our new student placement through the Sask DLC, Construction and Carpentry 20 class combing homebuilding online theory with a work placement.

Earlier this year, we were approached to give a potential student a firsthand look at carpentry as a career. Ryland will only be with us for a short time, but we've already put him to work demoing tile flooring!

1500 square feet finished basement

The Slat Wall feature was requested by the homeowner and is a brilliant idea to keep the stairway open while providing railing protection for young children. We used standard MDF, painted black to accomplish this finished look.

The 10-foot basement provides over a 9-foot tall finished ceiling, giving an open space and preventing it from feeling enclosed like a basement.

In the end, we were able to add a play area, a living room, bedroom, bathroom, workout space, office space, and a storage room to this young families home.

Custom 1400 Square Foot Deck!

This was a formidable project to turn into reality, but ultimately, it was fun to create. The client wanted to add to the existing front deck, which included an outlet for the gazebo, a custom space for a fireplace and bar area, and a small section at the back of the house, just big enough for two chairs when the sun hits just right.

The main area is 24' x 43', the side area is 32' x 8', and there is a 12' x 12' area for the gazebo. The beams are glue laminated, intended originally for the house garage built in the late 80's. We used three lifts of decking to cover the space with over 6000 deck screws to fasten them.

Come Spring, we'll return to finish the fireplace and a bar area.
