We've had some FROSTY mornings in Rocky this past week, it reminded me that my dog didnt have somewhere warm to go when he's outside! So with some materials I had laying around, and some shingles from the in-laws, i was able to put together a nice little fully insulated house for Tucker! I still have to insulate the ceiling and make a door of some sort (probably just strips of rug), but he already loves it!

Time sure did a number on these old wood windows! Good thing I got there before winter to help hold the heat in this sho...

With summer coming to an end shortly, fall and winter are on the way! Do your eaves through leak? Are they overflowing with debris? Maybe even falling down all together.. The below pictures are of an eavestrough I just cleaned out today, I scooped everything into buckets. Then sprayed the leftovers out with water, and finally a blow out with the leaf blower to get anything left over. Also had to repair an outlet that was leaking heavily. 👍

Just finished fixing this wood basement on an older house! This was one of those instances where an engineer is required to make sure things are being done correctly and structurally safe. It's not always something that you want to do, sometimes its something that NEEDS to be done asap. The studs in the wall had completely rotted out, so i had to carefully get in there and get it all replaced then re-seal the exterior.

Do you have a mobile home that's in need of some TLC?? Well I just spent 2 weeks in a house similar to the one in the picture, basically gutted the whole trailer, pulling out insulation infested with mice and any other bad or rotted materials. Just to re-build, re-insulate and re-seal the house so its able to be comfortably lived in, I forgot to get pictures of the actual house I worked on, but I was in every room doing something different everyday!

Decided to take on a bit of a side project of my own lately! I was starting to feel like I wanted a nice deck to come home after long days, to sit on and enjoy, so I just started tearing the old deck apart and had fun building something new that I get to enjoy! There were definitely a few late nights spent working on it, plus a bit of blood, alot of sweat and not so many tears 😅 but i had alot of fun making something I know will get alot of use!

The only roof/hallway that used to be here was pulling off of the main structure because of frost heaving on the concrete slab against the building. So I ripped away what was already coming off and started fresh, I poured a couple piles for the posts to sit on so they won't move with the floating slabs! I also added snow stop on the main roof to avoid any large amounts of snow falling.

Well I'm definitely VERY proud of this one, over the years of building garages/shops I've always wondered what it would be like to do it ALL by myself, so I know it's all done right! (Like the saying "you want something done right, do it yourself") Now I can say I did, and it turned out better than I could have hoped! Everything went so smooth and efficiently, took only 9 days to go from a package on the ground to the gorgeous building you see before you now! Looking forward to doing bigger projects every now and then but for now im glad to be home catching up on all the projects I have lined up here in Rocky Mountain House!

The siding and other small details will be completed by the customer as requested. My part was to get the main frame of the structure up, along with the shingles and windows/doors. 👍
