Barrett-White Restoration is a local business that is actively looking for new recruits. We specialize in the demolition and restoration of buildings that have been affected by disasters, such as fire, floods, tornados and others. The majority of our work is Monday - Friday, in Ottawa and surrounding areas.
Right now, we are looking for lead technicians and/or general laborers. Our wages range from 17$/hour up to 26$/hour depending on qualifications with a weekly pay period. We do want to specify that there is no experience needed for a general laborer and training will be provided to all.
Responsibilities
Respect and ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
Learn and practice correct company procedures for water remediation, mold and asbestos.
Learn and implement correct company procedures for content handling.
Learn and implement proper handling of machinery and other equipment used.
Participate in demolition, remediation, cleaning, packing and moving content.
Accept directions from restoration technicians and more experienced coworkers.
*When dealing with different circumstances (i.e asbestos removal, mold removal), specific responsibilities may arrive. We will provide you with adequate training to know how to manage these situations.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience with hand tools & power tools preferred, but not required
Previous construction or cleaning work preferred, but not required
No experience required, although preferred
*Drivers license required for lead technicians
