Serenity Pools & Landscaping will be open on Wednesday, July 1st.

We’ll be observing Friday, July 3rd as our long weekend so our team can enjoy some well-deserved time with family, friends, sunshine, and hopefully a little poolside breathing room. ☀️💦

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads, stepdads, grandfathers, father figures, and backyard heroes out there. 💙

Today is all about celebrating the people who show up, cheer us on, fix the things, fire up the BBQ, toss the kids in the pool, and somehow always claim the best chair in the backyard.

From all of us at Serenity Pools & Landscaping, we hope your day is filled with family, sunshine, laughter, and a little well-earned relaxation.

The heat is on! ☀️

This one is for all pool owners, whether we see your pool weekly, biweekly, monthly, once in a while, or you handle everything yourself.

Regular maintenance between professional visits still matters. A lot can happen in just a few days. Sun, warm weather, swimmers, debris, rain, and low sanitizer levels can all change your water pretty quickly.

Our service visits help with the bigger picture: cleaning, testing, balancing, and treating the water properly.

But between visits, or if you’re maintaining your pool on your own, a little upkeep goes a long way:

😎 Skim the pool
😎 Brush the walls and steps
😎 Empty the baskets
😎 Run your robot if you have one. It’s a lifesaver for saving time.
😎 Keep up with water testing when needed

It’s also worth noting that not all pool chemicals are the same. Yes, places like Walmart and Canadian Tire can be less expensive, and that may be tempting, but there is a difference in product quality, strength, and how well the chemicals work with your specific water needs.

Sometimes saving a few dollars up front can create more balancing headaches later. Pool water can be a fussy little creature, and the right products, used properly, make a big difference.

The more consistent care your pool gets, the easier it is to keep the water clean, clear, balanced, and ready for swimming.

A little pool care now helps keep summer running smoothly. 🌊

𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 🍁💦

As pools start coming back to life, here’s your friendly reminder: an opening is the beginning of the process, not an instant swim-ready switch.

After a long Canadian winter, your pool may need time to circulate, filter, clean up, balance chemically, warm up, and get the heater and salt system running properly.

It’s also completely normal to see water around your pool heater when it starts running. Pool heaters can produce up to 11L of condensation, especially during cool spring weather, so water near the heater does not always mean there is a leak.

Heaters and salt cells are starting very soon, if not already, but cool water can slow things down. Salt systems especially may not operate properly until the water temperature comes up.

If your pool needs extra cleaning, balancing, troubleshooting, or equipment inspection after opening, we’re happy to book a service call and help get things moving in the right direction.
