🇨🇦 Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦
Today I’m feeling especially grateful, not just to live in this incredible country, but for the journey that Canada has allowed me to take.
A little while ago, life threw me one of its biggest challenges. At the time, it felt like a tragedy. Looking back now, I realize it became the spark that pushed me into entrepreneurship, and I can honestly say… I have never been happier.
Building Simply Done Cleaning & Property Maintenance has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Every day I have the privilege of meeting business owners, CEOs, CFOs, entrepreneurs, and professionals from every walk of life. Some have decades of experience, others are just beginning their own journey. Every one of them has taught me something valuable, encouraged me, challenged me, and helped shape the person and business owner I’m becoming.
What has humbled me the most is the generosity of the business community. People have opened doors, shared wisdom, offered advice, and believed in me when they didn’t have to. For that, I will always be grateful.
But none of this would be possible without my incredible wife, Fumika.
From day one, she has never left my side. She has never complained. She never allowed uncertainty to become fear. When life suddenly changed, she didn’t ask, “What are we going to do?” Instead, her attitude was simply, “We’ve got this.” She believed in me when the road ahead wasn’t clear. She has worked beside me, encouraged me through the long days, celebrated the victories, and reminded me that success is something we build together. Every milestone we’ve reached belongs to both of us, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be on this journey with her.
I’ve learned that success isn’t about never facing adversity. It’s about choosing to turn adversity into purpose. Instead of allowing difficult moments to define me, I chose to let them fuel me. That decision has strengthened my confidence, earned the respect of people I admire, and, perhaps most importantly, deepened the respect I have for myself.
To my family, my friends, my clients, my fellow entrepreneurs, and everyone who has supported Simply Done, thank you. You have been part of a chapter in my life that I will never forget.
Here’s to chasing dreams, serving our communities, lifting one another up, and celebrating the incredible opportunities this country gives us every single day.
