Platinum Pro-Claim Restoration The restoration company that puts People, the Planet, our Communities and Responsibility above all el Our story starts in 1991 with 26-year-old Tony Scott.

Noticing restoration companies in the Lower Mainland weren’t putting customers first, he started Pro-Claim Restoration to create a new standard of service. In 1997, Tony realised job turnaround times were being disrupted by needing to outsource flooring. Always putting the customer first, he created Pro-Claim’s in-house, more sustainable flooring division, PC Flooring. Their initial tagline? “Making the world a better place, one floor at a time.”

While Tony was growing Pro-Claim across the Lower Mainland, in 2007, Geoff Shand started Platinum Pacific Restoration. Specializing in strata-type jobs, Geoff’s team was also renowned for their exceptional customer service. In 2008, Tony introduced an “employee-first” management style. Seeing how other companies were treating its employees, Tony believed that if you follow the philosophy of “what’s best for the employee,” they’ll be better motivated to produce. Since its inception, his theory has been proven time and time again. In 2013, Tony & Geoff recognized that two industry leaders were better than one. Merging Pro-Claim and Platinum Pacific Restoration into Platinum Pro-Claim Restoration, they combined specialties to bring even better service to the Lower Mainland. In 2014, with business booming, we moved into our state-of-the-art, 42,000 square-foot East Richmond home. We also acquired Canada’s only On-Site Esporta machine & Bio-Sweep Chamber, continuing our legacy of going further for our customers. In 2015, similar to the slowdowns associated with outsourcing flooring, we introduced PC Cabinetry to provide faster, more sustainable carpentry from an in-house cabinet shop. In 2016, as part of our commitment to sustainability, we purchased our first electric vehicle, but definitely not the last. With the largest fleet of any private B.C. company, our goal is being 25% electric by 2024. In 2019, PPCR partnered with Downs Construction on Vancouver Island, another company synonymous with expert customer service, to serve even more of B.C.

2019 also brought the debut of a fresh look & website, thanks to Colony Digital. While letting go of the logo that B.C. had come to know & love was tough, times had changed since 1991, and it was time our image did too. 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀! 🌊💪

This past Saturday was the 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗽, and hitting the decade mark felt pretty great. More than 100 people from the Richmond community came out, rolled up their sleeves, and hauled 3,385 lbs of debris off our local shorelines.

The best part? That's almost 50% less waste than past years! Cleaner shorelines and less trash to clean up is a pretty good sign that all the effort has been paying off 💙

Huge thank you to the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and 505-Junk for keeping this tradition going with us year after year! And of course, thank you to every single volunteer who showed up and got their hands dirty for a cleaner Richmond.

This is what living our purpose is all about: restoring lives, the planet & communities, together 🤝

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌱

Today is about protecting what we all share and doing our part to leave things better than we found them.

At PPCR, that commitment shows up in how we restore. As our Executive Director of Sustainability & Purpose, Jamie Madill, says:

“The most sustainable building materials are the ones we don’t remove. Property Restoration has the opportunity to be among the most sustainable industries on the planet because we are inherently focused on repairing rather than replacing, and restoring, rather than rebuilding.”

This Earth Day, we were proud to see Jamie join EcoClaim’s Green Council of North America webinar, alongside industry partners AMA and Synchor Recycling Inc., to talk about how collaboration and innovation are shaping a more sustainable future in property claims.

Early morning starts deserve a proper thank you! 🥓🥞

Last Friday we kicked off Employee Appreciation Day with a hot breakfast spread, bringing our crews together for good food, a few laughs, and a chance to connect before heading out to site. With almost 100 team members rolling through the shop, the energy was high and the pancake stations were working overtime!

At PPCR, our people are the heart of everything we do 💙 The early mornings, the hard work, and the commitment to restoring homes and lives across our communities never go unnoticed.

This was just a small way to show our appreciation to the incredible team that makes it all happen every day! 🫶

What does the right EQ setup look like on a job site? 👇

Here’s a great example of precision drying on a double drywalled, double insulated demising wall, without unnecessary demolition!

Instead of tearing everything out, we:

✅ Carefully removed baseboards without damaging paint
✅ Drilled targeted vent holes below the base
✅ Installed 6 Velo fans + a dehumidifier in the master bedroom
✅ Confirmed dryness using probes and a borescope

The result?
Minimal demo. Simple repairs. Less waste. Faster results.

This is what strategic equipment placement looks like 📐💪 Protecting the home, reducing disruption, and supporting more sustainable restoration practices.

The right equipment matters! Knowing how to use it makes all the difference 💙

🔋 Clean energy isn’t our end goal, it’s our starting point.

At PPCR, we know that restoring lives also means restoring the planet 🌍💚 That’s why we’ve taken bold, measurable steps to integrate sustainability into every part of our work.

From transitioning to a fully electric vehicle fleet to aligning with BC’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard, we’re proving that clean energy isn’t just the right choice, it’s the smart one. Every action we take helps reduce emissions, improve operational efficiency, and set a higher standard for what leadership in restoration really looks like 🚗⚡

Because clean energy isn’t a trend, it’s a responsibility. And a truly restored home includes a healthier, more sustainable future for the communities we serve.

🙌🌱 Let’s celebrate clean energy in action! If you’re curious about how we do it or want to collaborate, click the link in our bio to connect directly with Jamie Madill, our Director of Sustainability & Purpose.

The PPCR team had a fantastic time connecting at the 2026 FirstService Residential Preferred Vendors Tradeshow! 🙌

We loved catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones, from strata council members to property managers, while sharing how PPCR is making restoration more sustainable, people-focused, and community-driven 💙

Big thanks to FirstService Residential British Columbia for putting together such a great event and bringing so many like-minded vendors together. See you next year!

Community in Action 💙

We recently responded to a multi-unit flood on the 22nd floor of a 65-floor building. A pipe burst knocked out all 3 elevators, so our crew hauled their drying equipment up 22 flights of stairs 💪

What stood out the most? The residents!

🪑 They set up chairs and water in the stairwells for neighbours and our crew
💬 Wrote notes of encouragement to keep spirits lifted
📣 Even gave shout-outs to our team mid-response!

We’re still on-site, working with minimal cuts, drying from the top down. It’s tough work, but the shared purpose in this building makes all the difference 🫶

A huge thank you to our Site Manager Jake Ettinger, whose leadership continues to keep this complex response moving smoothly.

At PPCR, restoration starts with people 💙
