Started with about $100 in my chequing account.

Built it by working hard, learning fast, and not giving up when it got ugly.

A lot of people focus on having the perfect setup. In reality, getting good at what You do and staying in the game long enough matters a lot more.

Same door frame, completely refreshed performance and aesthetics—at about half the cost of a full replacement.

We had already replaced the front and back doors on this project. This was a complementary upgrade to bring the garage entry in line—without stretching the budget.

Instead of a full replacement, we focused on what matters.

We swapped the original steel panel for a smooth fiberglass door to match the front. No denting—important for a garage entry that sees constant traffic, groceries, and everyday use.

Then we removed the bulky surface closer and integrated self-closing hinges for a cleaner, more refined function. Updated handle to complete the system.

A simple add-on, but the right finishing touch to tie the whole project together.

Seeing a lot of new faces here lately, so I figured it’s a good time to re-introduce myself. My name is Andrew, and I’m the founder of Lusso Design.

Since 2009, we’ve been designing, building, and installing custom doors for both residential and commercial projects. Over the years, the focus has always stayed the same: thoughtful design, proper engineering, and clean ex*****on.
