Bearcan Rapid Housing has acquired the former industrial building in Beaurivage with a clear purpose: to turn a challenging chapter into a positive, productive future for the community.

We know this property carries a history — and we understand why many in the community may have concerns.

Bearcan is a local company from the area that manages housing projects and supplies the materials needed to build them. We design housing systems, package complete building components into shipping containers, and deliver them directly to various construction sites. We also assemble wall panels, roof trusses, and floor systems indoors, which are then delivered and assembled on site. Our work is focused on building homes — not processing heavy or volatile materials — in a clean, quiet, and well-managed environment.

Our plans for the site are centered on:

-Bringing skilled trades and stable employment to the local economy

-Creating safe, clean indoor assembly jobs

-Supporting urgently needed housing supply across New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada

-Working collaboratively with local leaders, neighbours, and suppliers

We are committed to operating transparently and responsibly. This site will be used in a way that reflects respect for residents, the environment, and the community’s well-being.

We live here, we’re part of this community, and we’re committed to being thoughtful, respectful neighbours as we move forward.

We believe Beaurivage deserves investment that creates opportunity — and we’re proud to be part of what comes next.

A local company has bought the former Coastal Shell Products facility and residents are "hesitant" about the future of the site.

As we step into 2026, we’re taking a moment to look back at a project that’s meant a lot to us.

Our Chipman project has been close to our hearts and the perfect way to close out 2025.

While it’s not over yet, with more to come in the next phase, we’ve already seen the kind of momentum that happens when rapid housing meets real community need: homes are filling up, roads are going in, and a brand new neighbourhood is coming to life.

Throughout the build, we’ve continued pushing innovation forward, from panelized trusses to pre-sheeted roof systems, helping us build faster on-site and reduce delays.

This project is one we’re proud of, but it’s not the only one. We’ve been working on building affordable housing communities in Kingsclear First Nation, Haut-Madawaska, and Clair, NB and we’re just getting started.

These are the projects that remind us why we do what we do. Excited for what’s ahead in 2026.
