Do you know the difference between a total station and GPS? Does the brand Trimble resonate with you? How about working outside on a variety of projects in and around the Revelstoke area? Does the idea of working 4x10s and having a three day weekend every week appeal to you?

Selkirk Land Surveying is hiring!

We are looking for a surveyor to join our team. Experience is necessary as we are already in our busy season.

Please see the posting for more information.

Two members of our team are attending the 2026 ABCLS Conference and 121st Annual General Meeting this week.

Events like this are a great opportunity to connect with others in the profession, share knowledge, and stay involved with the surveying community across British Columbia.

We’re proud to have our team representing us at this year’s conference.

Hi Revelstoke 👋

I’m exploring the idea of hosting a free Lunch & Learn on how property boundaries are established and how surveyors locate property corners — along with some practical education on property law and development considerations in BC.
With growth and development happening in our community, I thought this might be helpful for property owners, buyers, builders, and anyone curious about how land ownership actually works behind the scenes.

Before planning it, I’d love your input. If you’re interested (or have ideas about what you’d want covered), please take this short 2-minute survey:

Thanks in advance for helping shape something useful for our community!

After working the last 3 weekends in a row, we are closing for a well-deserved long weekend. We've been busy working on some big projects up on the ski hill, finding 120 year old property corners for a large subdivision south of town, and flying the drone for stockpile surveys.

A huge shout out goes to who is officially a Land Surveyor in Training! Mac has worked hard to obtain his engineering degree at U of C and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge from working for Leica, remote projects in the northern territories and his summers working in Fernie with Align Surveys. He has to complete two years of articling under our BCLS, along with a few exams and field projects, but that should be a breeze for him. We can't wait to see him progress in his career and look forward to having two BCLSs within the company. Congrats Mac!

We've been busy these past few weeks. We took a break from the usual municipal surveys and escaped to the forest to look for survey evidence dating back to the early 1900s. Even if it has a road built over it, we can still find it!

Some development applications in Revelstoke require a Drainage Plan—and yes, we do those too. Make sure your project stays on track with all the right paperwork in place.

Looking for your property corners? We use magnetic locating tools to find the standard survey markers (square iron bars) used throughout BC—helping you understand exactly where your property begins and ends.
