Have you met Rob, our Head Designer? Let us introduce you.
Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, RWTH Master of Science Architecture
After his university studies in Germany, Rob began his professional career at renowned firms Gabathuler & Partner and then Lepel and Lepel. Those early years is where he really fostered his passion for sustainable design. Focusing on designing large public buildings and work spaces he was not only designing the physical structures, but he was reimagining the way we want to live and work.
Rob has successfully competed in multiple architectural competitions where he has won awards and where his designs were fully realized. He is a Red Dot Design Award recipient.
Later he transitioned to residential design, gaining in-depth knowledge of high performance and energy-efficient building standards. At this time, he also began to step into a leadership role at the firm managing full projects by leading design teams and by supervising construction crews during builds.
In order to look for new challenges Rob made his way to Canada. His experience and skill set were a perfect match with Tree Construction— sharing in the mission of bringing the highest energy standards to Canadian homes.
When not at Tree, you can find Rob in the mountains snowboarding and biking, which keeps his head clear to be focused on designs and bringing new projects to life. Rob is currently working through the Passive House Designer certification process.
