Your basement development doesn’t need to be restricted to your existing windows. We can add a lot of light with bigger windows or windows in brand new locations. Ask us about pricing for sizes bigger than minimum egress. The increase in cost isn’t as much as you might think.

Final push before the new basement floor goes in!
We’ve been hard at work transforming this space—demo’d all the drywall and framing, removed 1,200 sq ft of heaved concrete, dug out 4” of clay and replaced it with radon rock. We upgraded the telepost pads and posts, installed a full radon mitigation system, dimple board, interior weeping tile with a sump pit, and brand new under-slab plumbing.

To top it off: we braced all the walls, laid 6 mil poly, 10m rebar, and in-floor heat tubing, and cut in three large egress windows. Huge job—but it’s going to add serious value to this Hillsdale home.

Big thanks to DKM Engineering Ltd. for the engineered drawings—everything was done with permits and to spec, of course.

Cutting these windows is just the beginning of this large project. Next we will adding interior weeping tile, removing and replacing (and lowering) the floor slab and bracing the walls. What an upgrade it will be to this south Regina home. All engineered by DKM engineering.

This 48”x36” window will be a huge upgrade to this basement. When you are cutting in new windows anyway you have the opportunity to go a lot bigger than you might think. This goes a long way to brighten up your space and make it feel much less like a basement.
