Finally had the chance to get more familiar with the crankshaft balancer that was added to our list of services at Extreme Engines. 460 Ford that had a bad vibration, didn’t take long to confirm it had the wrong crankshaft installed. Sorry about the background music, didn’t think it was that loud.

Extreme Engines is looking for a front end receptionist / parts order clerk. Duties would include answering the phone, inventory control, ordering parts, invoicing, etc.
Wages are $18-$20/hr and up depending on experience.

Anyone know of someone mechanically minded looking for work in the Red Deer area ?
Extreme Engines is looking for 1, possibly 2 people asap. Responsibilities to start would be tearing down and assessment of engines and cylinder heads, crack detection, pressure testing, & parts clean up with some assembly. Wages are $18-$22 to start depending on experience. Future development into running engine rebuild equipment like our Sunnen CK10 cylinder hone, Rottler boring machine, RMC surfacer, Sunnen rod hone, etc.

Thanks to Dave at Dave’s Dyno Room, Ponoka for the results on our 502 marine pump gas engine. The dyno pull after this video we reached peak torque of 644 ft lbs at 4200 rpm with 604 hp at 5500. It’ll work great for the jet boat it’s built for.

Extreme Engines is looking for a mechanically minded individual to join our team. Duties will include tearing down engines and components with attention to detail, cleaning parts, inspection and measuring, along with some assembly. Training provided for the correct person. Opportunities to learn machining of cylinder blocks & heads and the rebuild process. Employee should be able to lift 50 lbs, have steel toed boots, and work safely and efficiently.
Wages are $15-$18/hr to start depending on experience.
