Wow… are we seriously almost into September already?

Where did this season go?!

Before we know it, the leaves will be changing and the snow will be flying. I know, I know… dirty words. I probably shouldn’t even be saying snow yet!

Before we start winding down another summer season, though, I really want to say THANK YOU. Thank you to everyone who trusted Get It Done Services this year. Whether you called me for lawn care, property maintenance, moving help, hauling, deliveries, projects around the house, or simply because you needed another set of hands to Get It Done, I genuinely appreciate every opportunity I’ve had to be of service.

Get It Done Services isn’t disappearing or shutting down. I’ll continue helping where and when I can. But as we head toward the winter months and I look toward what I want to build next, I’ve started pivoting some of my energy into a new project that I’m pretty excited to finally share.

Introducing Sparked Promotions.

Sparked Promotions is being built around a simple mission: help local businesses get seen, connect them with more customers, create an impact, and strengthen the community around us.

And our first major project is…

The Little Book of BIG Savings -

We’re going a little old-school with this one.

Instead of another advertisement disappearing into an endless social media feed, The Little Book of BIG Savings will be a physical, professionally designed local savings book that customers can actually hold onto, flip through and bring them into your shops or give them a reason to make your phones keep ringing.

Inside, we’ll showcase offers from locally owned businesses across Red Deer & Area, from restaurants and entertainment to retail, pets, home services, health & beauty, family activities and more.

The idea is to create a genuine win-win-win. Local businesses receive an affordable way to get directly into the hands of potential customers. Customers discover or rediscover great local businesses while getting meaningful savings. And the project creates another opportunity to support and give back to our local community.

Hey everyone!

Today, I wanted to share something a little different.

Many of you know me as the guy behind Get It Done Services—the one mowing lawns, hauling junk, helping people move, tackling projects, and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. What you may not know is that, when I'm not working on your projects, I've been spending countless hours working on one of my own.

For the last few years, I've been writing, editing, learning, rewriting, and pouring my heart into a dream that has finally become a reality: I've officially self-published my first book, Get Selfish: Filling Your Bucket First.

To me, this book and this business are connected.

Neither one existed until I decided to step outside my comfort zone and become the man I wanted to be—and continue becoming. Both are the result of taking risks, believing in growth, and choosing to chase dreams instead of wondering, "What if?"

One dream became a business that allows me to serve this incredible community. The other became a book that I hope encourages people to invest in themselves, build confidence, and create a life they're proud of.

So, while I'm out taking care of your lawn, cleaning up your property, or helping with your next project, maybe you'll have a few extra minutes to sit back, relax, and dive into a good book.

I'll be honest—sharing this scares me far more than starting a business ever did. Putting your ideas and experiences into the world is a vulnerable thing. But if this book helps even one person take that first step toward becoming the person they want to be, then every late night and every revision was worth it.

It's sure been a busy one out there! Even with the ever changing weather, the smokey air, or hot days we have the hammer down trying to make everything happen!

Our big focus as of lately has been yard services and property clean ups.

So if you have a yard out of control, that needs some refreshing or just tired of mowing your own lawn in this heat we can step in. Don't miss out! We only have a few spots available!

I want to express a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been calling to secure jobs and get things done in the last while. I'll fully admit it's been a tad overwhelming and it's been capacity stretching and come with some growing pains that I am truly grateful for everyone who has given me the opportunity and continues to support my growing business!

As many of you know I balance building this business around a full time job, as well as a young family and I can proudly say I did not think this business would come close almost replacing my day job this fast!

Excited for what the future holds and proud to be of service how I can!

🚨 Something BIG Could Be Coming to Red Deer... 🚨
We're working on bringing something newish to Red Deer and we want your input. A little like the amazing Saturday Market yet bigger and different and on Sundays!

Imagine a Sunday market inspired by the legendary Chilliwack Flea Market in BC—a place where you can spend hours exploring, discovering hidden treasures, supporting local vendors, grabbing a bite from a food truck, and enjoying a true community atmosphere.

That's the vision.

We're currently in the planning stages of what we hope will become Red Deer's newest year-round Sunday Flea Market.

Whether you're a collector, artisan, small business owner, reseller, crafter, farmer, hobbyist, or simply someone cleaning out the garage, we'd love to create a place where buyers and sellers can connect.

The Vision
✅ Large-scale Sunday Flea Market
✅ Year-round operation
✅ Indoor and/or outdoor opportunities (depending on season)
✅ Vendor spaces starting around $30 per table
✅ Food trucks and local eats
✅ A fun, family-friendly community event
✅ Something different to do every Sunday

The goal is simple:

To create a market where you never know what you'll find.

Vintage treasures. Collectibles. Handmade goods. Home décor. Clothing. Tools. Toys. Antiques. Plants. Local products. Art. Books. Furniture. Small businesses. Side hustles. If it's legal and authentic, there's a place for it.

Right Now...
We're finalizing locations, logistics, permits, and all the behind-the-scenes details that go into building an event of this size.

Hello community!
One of the pillars that I built Get It Done Services on is serving where and how I can. Now I am looking for a little extra assistance in being able to support a couple of families in need. We are looking for assistance with Food and Furniture/ household supplies/ personal supplies.

If you might have a few extra cans of food or extras that could go to another family in need we would be beyond grateful for the support and helping uplift others in need!

We are also on the hunt for a bed, microwave, couch, and personal needs ( toilet paper, towels, soap, ect)

I truly believe that when we all work together we can change lives.
