By some miracle, I WILL be at the Williams Lake Farmers Market tomorrow!! 🌻💐
After warning everyone last week that I might lose my entire garden to frost… it turns out I didn’t! 😅
We got hit with a much harder frost than expected, so I tried to set up the sprinklers to save everything, but they froze before they even ran. When I checked at 7am, the garden was completely frozen solid and the sunflowers were literally icicles. Even the duck pool was frozen, so I didn’t have much hope.
Somehow, things thawed just slowly enough (or in just the right way) that SOME of the garden survived! I did lose roughly half the garden, including my dahlias 😥, but the sunflowers are absolute troopers and have officially become the stars of the show!
I got creative filling in the gaps with what I could, including some good ol fashioned swamp bogging 😂 and I’m actually so happy with how the bouquets turned out. They’re giving all the beautiful fall vibes. 🍂🌻
I honestly thought last week was goodbye, so I can’t wait to see you all again tomorrow!!
