Ferncliff Rusty and Castle Drive plus some snowflakes! I have only dug up half of my tubers and may resort to EXTREME measures. This means only saving a couple of each variety and letting the remainder become compost and nourish the earth for next year 🌺

The fall dig has begun and is happening over the next week! Please help me out and buy a set of 10 clumps (not just individual tubers!) for $100. I can't store them all!! Let me know what colours you're looking for, or I can put together a blend.

Frost is looming and these late bloomers are at their peak! That's the beauty of dahlias, they finally arrive while other flowers have dried up and are ready for the first sprinkle of snow. I hear PG had -1 degrees this morning!

For some people summer is almost over, but for others (me included) this is where it truly begins! 6 years into growing dahlias and I finally have shifted growing from mostly in pots (on the driveway edges of my shady property) to a shared garden in FULL sun. What a treat to now be filling buckets with blooms 🌺🌸🌺

With over 500 plants growing now, I'll be selling tubers shortly after frost hits!

Flower season is officially here! The way I now view the year is whether there are flowers or not. In the fall I expanded my garden by about 50 peony plants, which take about 3 years to produce. That means waiting through 2 more non-flower seasons! Which really isn't that long is it?

And the steady stream of pink dahlias continues. Wine Eyed Jill and Snoho Sonia are some of my top producers but I am surprised by the beauty of Vasio Meggos, Islander and Sweet Nathalie!
