Ruskin finished off the winter season with a challenging bridge swap in Northern Alberta. Our crews removed a 120ft bridge with a 30ft jump span and replaced it with a 180ft bridge. The site presented multiple challenges with steep approaches and limited work space.

We’re proud to share the completion of another project! A deteriorating culvert that was washing out the roadway and blocking vital fish habitat has been replaced with a brand-new bridge – opening the way for both safe travel and thriving ecosystems!
This new bridge not only ensures long-term reliable access for the road owner and other users but also restores critical fish passage, supporting healthier waterways and wildlife habitats.
A big thank you to our hardworking team and partners who made this project a success. Together, we’re building more than bridges – we’re building connections that matter.

Harnessing the Power of Wind Energy in BC
British Columbia is making waves in renewable energy with exciting developments in wind power! As highlighted in this recent CBC article, the province is expanding its wind energy projects, contributing to a greener future.
For foundations companies like ours, this marks an incredible opportunity to support the transition to clean energy. Building wind farms starts from the ground up—literally! Foundations are a critical element, ensuring wind turbines remain stable and efficient, even in Northern BC's rugged terrain and challenging weather conditions. 🏗️💪
At Ruskin Construction, we're proud to play a role in sustainable infrastructure by providing robust and reliable foundations for wind energy projects. From deep pile installations to engineered support systems, we’re ready to power up BC’s clean energy goals. ⚡🌿
Let’s build a sustainable future, one foundation at a time. 🌎
The majority of projects are in the Interior and north and will add about eight per cent to power supply capacity.

For 30 years, Ruskin Construction has been providing clients across North America with quality construction services, bringing unique ideas, and extensive experience, to each of our projects.
Founded by Andrew Purdey in 1989, Ruskin Construction was started on the simple goal of becoming the best bridge builder in the market.
With just a single crew, Ruskin began building log crib bridges for the Forestry industry. Since then, the company – named for Purdey’s hometown of Ruskin, BC – has developed into a privately held construction company specializing not only in temporary resource bridges, but also permanent and highway structures, a variety of foundation options, marine construction, railway refurbishment, aerial pipeline installation and heavy civil construction.
Currently employing more than 250 professionals, Ruskin provides $100M in annual construction services to the Oil and Gas, Forestry, Transportation, and Mining industries. Ruskin’s growth has been fueled by a focus on our core principles – safety, quality, and production. It’s this commitment to excellence that has brought back clients year after year.
In the 30 years since Ruskin first envisioned its future, we have become a company that can react to change, identify opportunities and deliver on commitments. Ruskin is trusted and recognized within the industry, and we remain dedicated to ensuring we are a sustainable company that is client and market diversified.
We re-write our history with every job we complete, and with every new job we start. Ruskin has an outstanding track record and the best people in the business. We build many things, but what we are proudest of building is our reputation. It got us started in 1989 and it keeps us going today.
