Shift: Monday to Thursday, 10+ Hour Shifts (additional hours as required based on operational needs)
π΅ Wage: $40.00β$45.00/hour, depending on experience
About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Shift Foreman to lead and oversee a team of approximately 85+ employees at our Fingerjoint Mill in Prince George, BC.
Reporting to the Assistant Production Manager, the Shift Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day performance of their assigned team, including production, safety, quality, staffing, and maintenance coordination. You will play a key role in keeping your team operating safely, efficiently, and productively while ensuring equipment and maintenance needs are addressed.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable making decisions, solving problems, coaching employees, and working closely with both production and maintenance teams.
What You'll Do

Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of approximately 85+ employees

Ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational goals are achieved
β
Take responsibility for the maintenance needs of your assigned team, including identifying equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and following up on maintenance requirements

Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture and ensure company safety procedures are followed
β
Monitor production processes and staffing levels to ensure efficient operations
β
Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and take appropriate action to minimize downtime
β
Provide training, coaching, and direction to employees to improve performance and develop skills
β
Work closely with maintenance personnel to address equipment reliability and preventative maintenance needs
β
Monitor housekeeping, organization, and overall conditions within your assigned areas
β
Communicate production, staffing, maintenance, safety, and operational concerns to the Assistant Production Manager
β
Support continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency
What We're Looking For
βοΈ Previous experience in a foreman, supervisor, or leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
βοΈ Proven ability to lead and manage a large team
βοΈ Strong understanding of production processes and equipment
βοΈ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
βοΈ Ability to make decisions and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
βοΈ Strong communication and organizational skills
βοΈ Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a positive safety culture
βοΈ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
βοΈ Mechanical or maintenance experience is considered an asset
βοΈ Forklift certification is considered an asset
