Our first larger snow falls seem to be coming!

It’s been a busy month in the field and shop between final dirt work projects and shop work to make sure our fleet is ready to service our amazing clients in Prince George this winter season. Equipment will now be moved into staging areas for what looks like our first plowing of the season incoming.

Although our crew is ready to go, we are still in search of one more skidsteer operator.

This position requires a fully experienced skidsteer operator capable of night shift and day shift plowing parking lots.

Drivers licence is mandatory.

Experience in the following will also be considered an asset.

-Loading snow via skidsteer into dump trucks.
-Sand truck operation
-Class 1 or Heavy Trailer Endorsement
-Excavator experience
-Leadership (supervisor) expertise
-Mechanical repair knowledge
-Positive attitude with attention to detail and cleanliness.

Although this position is for the winter season, the right applicant with skidsteer/excavator and landscaping/dirt work experience will transition into a lead operator position come spring, summer and fall.

SG Projects Contracting Ltd is looking to expand our team.

We are accepting resumes to fill two expereinced equipment operator positions. Operators will be running skid-steers and Mini Hoes along with other various equipment.

One General labourer position is also available.

Wages are always above average and based on experience. Benefits available after 3 months.

Our teams will be pushing hard to complete our projects for this season before winter arrives. These positions will transition into full time winter employment as we continue to grow our parking lot snow clearing,sanding and sidewalk shovelling crews.

Drivers licence is mandatory for all positions. Heavy trailer endorsement or Class 1 licence will be considered an asset. Experience in landscaping, excavations and retaining wall installs will also be considered an asset.

SG Projects has a couple open employment positions for this winter season.

Open positions are currently

Labourer Position- This opportunity will consist of snow shovelling of sidewalks & sanding. This will be a labour intensive job with a pre planned route of sites to follow and execute accordingly in a two person team.

Equipment Operator- This opportunity will consist of operation of various equipment for snow clearing contracts. Position will require an experienced and competent individual to safely haul equipment to various sites and perform snow clearing to the highest standard of service to our customers.

SG Projects will also be giving priority to well rounded applicants with mechanical knowledge to work in our shop. Basic knowledge in engine services, hydraulic hose repair, automotive repair and welding will be considered an asset to keeping employees busy while not out in the field.

Successful applicants for this winter season will also have full time employment for all seasons ahead to execute on landscaping projects and small to large scale retaining wall excavations and installation.
