Furnace not coming on?
Occasionally a home owner will accidentally turn off the electrical power to the furnace. Code requires that a heating appliance have a switch to turn off the furnace. Lots of times, this switch is in the stairwell leading in to the basement or just outside the furnace room. It is usually located higher on the wall than a typical switch. Make sure it is on. If your lucky it will be clearly labelled like this one. 😊

Tiz the season for the heat to stop working. Just remember that the cold weather comes for everyone at exactly the same time and so do heating problems. That puts contractors, like me, into a real time crunch. Please be patient and flexible with your time. 😊

Remember, it ALWAYS ok to get a second opinion. If a contractor is pressuring you to buy a new furnace because yours is old or repair so costly it is not worth fixing, it might be well worth the money to pay for a second look. 😊
