Fall is one of the busiest home-buying seasons in Eastern Ontario, and the electrical panel is one of the easiest things to overlook during a walkthrough.
A few red flags worth knowing before you sign anything: breakers that feel warm to the touch, a panel with no visible labeling, outlets near sinks or outdoors without GFCI protection, or wiring that looks like it was patched together over the years.
None of these mean you have to walk away — they just mean it's worth having a licensed electrician take a proper look before the deal closes, so you know exactly what you're buying (or selling). Done right, that's one less thing to worry about on moving day. Buying or selling this fall?
