Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Canadians who landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Their bravery helped change the course of history and secure the freedoms we enjoy today.

We honour the thousands who served, including so many Nova Scotians, especially those who never came home, and the veterans whose legacy continues to inspire us. Lest we forget.
